We have six different weeks of day camp available for kids ages 6-18! Options for beginners to seasoned dancers. Our camps offer different combinations of acro, aerial, and dance, games, crafts, plus theatre with our Dance & Theatre Camps in collaboration with Meraki Theatre. Camps are a great way to learn new skills, build on existing abilities, and have some summer fun at the studio!

Excessive Speed Hockey Camp

Ages 6-15

Experience the Excessive Speed Hockey Summer Full Day Camp , providing players with the chance to advance their hockey skills and improve their hockey IQ. For a FULL DAY, learn the advanced fundamentals through both on and off ice sessions!!! You have not experienced a full day camp quite like this one!!!

Excessive Speed Hockey Camp

Ages 7-16

The Excessive Speed Hockey Summer Skills Camp will get you ready for tryouts with state of the art drills and top of the line coaching/correction. This camp is designed to push players before tryouts.

Focus: Powerskating, Stickhandling, Shooting, Battle Drills, Passing, and much more!!!

Girls Hockey Camp

$549/week (Bursary is possible, see website for details)

Ages 7-17

 Each girl will be on the ice twice a day as well as learn valuable off-ice hockey instruction also twice a day. Girls will be supervised all day and assistance in getting dressed in their hockey equipment will be available for the younger groups.

RINK Hockey Camps

$250-$600/week

Ages 6-13

RINK is thrilled to offer a diverse group of camps this summer at Gateway Recreation Centre. Players will have the option take a Skills to Game Camp or EDGE Power Skating Camp. The Skills to Game Camp strikes a perfect balance between skill development and small area games. A staple at Gateway for over 10 years, the EDGE Power Skating Camp is RINK's most comprehensive skating curriculum featuring live video review on ice, figure skating session, take home video breaking down your stride, and multi-sport components all jam-packed into a fun camp environment.

Zajac Hockey Camp

Ages 8-15

Explosive & Dynamic Skating -Individual skill components: Edge work, stride work, balance, control, quickfeet, movability

Passing ,Shooting & Scoring -Individual skill components: Wrist shots, snap shots, slap shots, backhands, accuracy and finishing. Passing learning how to give and receive passes on both forehand and backhand. Shooting from a Pass

Stickhandling & puckskills -Individual skill components: Stickhandling, puck control, evasive moves, puck protection

Children will enjoy classes in a variety of dance disciplines such as ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, and musical theatre under the guidance of RWB School artistic faculty. They will have the opportunity to explore different movement, play games, make arts and crafts, and enjoy other fun activities at the RWB’s beautiful and accessible downtown campus. 

From Mapping Winnipeg: My child loved this camp! They got to try out several forms of dance and really liked tap. The coaches were friendly and attentive.

Our Summer Camp is an amazing ranch experience with exotic sanctuary. Your children will have the opportunity to experience the ranch with all the farm animals as well as exotic animals at our sanctuary.

From real chores that include feeding the animals, collecting eggs, grooming our animals, to crafts, learning about the animals, nature walks, learning farm skills, how to care for various animals and plenty of outdoor adventures Your child will love the hands on experience and activities we have planned.

2-Week Swim Camps

Ages 4-12

Swim camps offer 2 weeks of fun and progressive 30-minute lessons under the instruction of our certified swimming instructors. Younger children will improve their body awareness, motor skills, coordination and confidence as they submerge, kick, roll and jump into the water. Older swimmers continue to develop their swim skills while focusing on treading water, stroke progressions, submersions and roll entries.

Junior Basketball Camp

Ages 12-15

Our Basketball Development Camp, under the leadership of an NCCP Trained Instructor, will lead your teen to improve their basketball skills and increase their fundamental understanding of the game itself. Teens will practice their skills on the court and will also spend time in the fitness center to improve their strength, balance, and agility.

This mental wellness-oriented camp is based on a holistic model and includes healthy snacks and lunches. Activities include (but aren’t limited to!): music, art, dance, drama, field trips, mental health education, and nutrition. At MAD Camp, campers develop friendships, support systems, and networks to help them navigate their mental well-being.

Hosted by the Department of Recreation Services, this weeklong camp gives students the opportunity to learn in a fun and engaging environment alongside other young learners. Located at UWinnipeg's Richardson College for the Environment and Science, RecPlex, and Duckworth Centre, activities take place daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a one-to-six staff-to-camper ratio that ensures children are given guidance, support, and the chance to learn from our friendly staff!

The Skating & Skills Camp encompasses the best of what the RINK has to offer in a single condensed week-long camp. Regardless of level, Skating & Skills incorporates the 4 Core skills of Hockey – Skating | Shooting | Passing | Puck control.  Each session will take players through progressions of all the skills in preparation for their upcoming seasons and to have more fun!

EDGE Power Skating Camp

Ages 7-14

 The camp will take a deeper focus with players on their skating foundation as well as Edge Awareness. Emphasizing Balance, Body Position, Edge Activation, Forward Stride, and Transitional Skating. EDGE Power Skating camps combine the teachings of Figure Skating, Speed Skating and Hockey Power Skating so athletes will be learning from professional skating specialists in 3 different fields. This camp is designed to challenge athletes and allow them to have a better understanding of their overall skating technique, which will help them take their game to the next level.

Tryout Prep Camp

Ages 7-14

The Tryout Prep Camp encompasses everything you will need to be prepared heading into the hockey season. Offered exclusively in the last week of summer, this camp is specifically designed to get players back on the ice to shake off the summer rust. 

Summer Goalie Camps

RINK Goalie Summer Camps have become a staple for goalies during the off-season and heading into their tryouts. The Skills to Game and 3 on 3 Camps are spots within Player Camps. The Tryout Prep Camp is for goalies only focused on improving their fundamentals and preparing for game situations through a variety of drills.

VISION Day Camps are Co-ed Skills Camps designed for those athletes who aspire to develop sound fundamentals of the game. Camps are limited to a max. of 24 athletes per court with each court having a minimum of two coaches. The coach-athlete ratio is therefore at least one coach for every 10-12 athletes.

Bar Down is designed as a high performance camp that specializes in developing strong fundamentals of the game of hockey.  We offer instruction to both goalies and players, covering the essential elements of skilled hockey. Our curriculum includes: power skating (advanced edge work, explosive speed) shooting, stick-handling, conditioning, and body contact / physical play.

2-Week Swim Camps

Ages 4-12

Swim camps offer 2 weeks of fun and progressive 30-minute lessons under the instruction of our certified swimming instructors. Younger children will improve their body awareness, motor skills, coordination and confidence as they submerge, kick, roll and jump into the water. Older swimmers continue to develop their swim skills while focusing on treading water, stroke progressions, submersions and roll entries.

VISION Day Camps are Co-ed Skills Camps designed for those athletes who aspire to develop sound fundamentals of the game. Camps are limited to a max. of 24 athletes per court with each court having a minimum of two coaches. The coach-athlete ratio is therefore at least one coach for every 10-12 athletes.

I can’t be-leaf you’ve never been to Leaf Camp! It’s time to branch out your interests and discover the growing world of plants. You’ll make new buds as we explore different world cultures through food, plants, and art! Spending time in the Leaf, the outdoor gardens, the Zoo, and other parts of Assiniboine Park. We will go green connecting with nature and root ourselves in dirt and fun. This camp will have everything from art and adventure to games and making delicious and nutritious snacks.

Leaf Camp is open to children ages 9 - 13.

From Mapping Winnipeg: This was my child's favorite day camp. They loved being outdoors for most of the day and swimming in the lake was a highlight. They got to do memorable activities that we don't get to do at home like roasting marshmallows.

Enjoy a week of fun in the pool where swimmers will learn, develop, and strengthen their artistic swimming skills.

Our camp features two programs tailored to all skill levels:

  • Shallow Water Group: Perfect for beginners who want to explore the world of artistic swimming in the safety and comfort of the shallow end.

  • Deep Water Group: Designed for confident swimmers who can navigate deep water and swim 50 meters independently (no flotation devices).

Our seasoned Dungeon Masters will be hosting new and exciting sessions each day! Our original adventures are custom designed and age appropriate for young audiences.

In addition to playing, campers will get to to learn more about D&D, how to create and run their own adventures for their friends, as well as lessons on how to paint their very own miniature.
